Le ténor Bryan Hymel est devenu en quelques années une valeur incontournable des scènes d'opéras. Encore peu connu en France, il s'est pourtant déjà illustré sur de grandes scènes lyriques comme celles du Metropolitan Opera et du Royal Opera House dans des rôles réputés écrasants. Le label Opus Arte édite d'ailleurs pas moins de trois superbes titres à la gloire du ténor américain : Carmen 3D, Les Troyens et le très rare Robert le Diable. Fidèle à la scène londonienne, Bryan Hymel interprète actuellement en français le rôle d'Henri dans Les Vêpres Siciliennes de Verdi. Les caméras investiront la salle de Covent Garden le 4 novembre pour une retransmission HD de cette production signée Stefan Herheim dans les salles de cinéma de nombreux pays, dont la France…

Nous rencontrons Pumeza Matshikiza à l'occasion de son second disque paru chez Decca, Arias. De la Royal Academy of Music au Royal Opera House de Londres et au Staatstheater Stuttgart, la jeune soprano nous raconte son parcours, ses débuts à La Scala de Milan, sa tournée avec Rolando Villazon et lève le voile sur quelques projets qui, loin de tout marketing tapageur, signeront à n'en pas douter une véritable progression artistique.
